Cardlytics , a US-Based firm has showed interest in setting up a office in Visakhapatnam of Andhra Pradesh . Nara Lokesh , Andhra Pradesh IT Minister met the officials from the firm on his currently ongoing US tour. He shared this new over his social media , He said “Met with Cardlytics executives in Atlanta. Cardlytics provides services in purchase data analytics. After learning about FinTech Valley and the opportunities in Vizag, they promised to set up their office with 100 people soon”.
The Andhra Government has been making tremendous efforts in transforming Visakhapatnam into a major IT hub of the country. According to the sources Vizag has been recognized as a developing blockchain hub of the country. Last year events such as Block chain Business conference and the Agri-hackathon were a few of the initiatives of the government to promote the IT culture among the youth and eventually reaching the government’s vision of making the city a major IT hub of the country .
Lately, at the accelerator facility at the Fintech Valley approx. eight startup companies have been shortlisted . The expected boom in the IT sector will be a major up gradation in the revenue of the state along with the hike in employment .
Earlier , Lokesh informed that the Samsung Electronics the international giant is going to set-up a global e-commerce center in Andhra Pradesh . The minister met with a few NRIs to encourage them to actively participate in the Smart Village Smart Ward program of the GoAp and to also invest in various program carried out for the development of the state. He further added that Andhra Pradesh government is taking various initiatives to facilitate and promote industrial growth in the state.
