The TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam) is introducing the Quota System this will be linked to the Aadhaar Card.
Probably this is the first temple in India to introduce this kind of system. This strategy will slightly reduce the rush of the temple and will many other people will also get chance to visit the temple. While speaking to the press on Monday, Endowments minister P Manikyala Rao said that many devotees visit the temple twice or thrice in a month, causing problem to those who come for darshan once in while or a year.
Recently Mr.Rao said that they are seeking opinions from the public also to get advises on controlling the public. On an average about 70,000 devotees rush to the Lord’s darshan daily.
Rao said that apart from TTD, the endowments department is formulating a plan to see that at all temples, devotees can take darshan within 30 minutes. At present, there are about 50,000 devotees who are allowed to take the darshan at the temples at free of cost. Now, efforts are on to increase this number to 1.5 lakh.
The government is also in a proposal trying to change the name of Endowments Department to Andhra Pradesh Dharmadaya Deva Sakha.
They are also trying to make many changes in the Online darshan Sysytem and said that they have a planning of ” One Darshan Per Year” . Actually this idea was striked when our Ex Chief Minister N.Kiran Kumar Reddy was in power.
But the implementation took when Endowment Minister Manikyala Rao courted a controversy that the Tirumala Lord Darshan should be allowed only ones in a year with the help of Aadhar Card and thus give more chance to new devotees. At the same time he also said ‘LIMIT” VIP break darshan to 1 hour per day that too Only Once in a month.
