Andhra Pradesh Government is going to spend Rs 4,848 crores for providing basic amenities in all government schools across the state. This was resulted in great demand for admissions into government schools at a par with corporate schools of Andhra Pradesh which are taking exuberant fees from the parents. Introduction of English Medium, digital and virtual class rooms have attracted the parents to join their children in government schools. Andhra Pradesh ranking in teaching reached 3rd place in India, it was in 17th place in 2014. Teacher – Student ratio is being maintained as per the international standards and 10,351 teachers to be recruited in next D S C to meet the set standards.
HRD Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao released AP TET Results at Dr YVS Murthy Auditorium, Andhra University Engineering College Grounds. As many as 3,97,657 candidates have applied for the test and 3,70,573 attended and out of them 2,13,042 succeeded. The examinations were conducted online from June 10 to 19th at various centres in the state. First Key was released on June 20 while calling for objections and the final key on 26th. Last year only 46.85 % of candidates became eligible and now that figure reached to 57.48%.
‘Vemana Kusuma of Krishna district stood in first place in Paper -1 by securing 146 marks’ said Ganta Srinivas Rao. Arla Vishnu Priya got 136 marks in social studies, Paper -2 A from Ongole district. Inundi Laxmi of Vizianagaram is the topper in Maths and Science paper. M Prabhakar Babu of Guntur has secured 138 marks in Paper – 2 A English. Pamula Venugopal of Chittoor district is the toper in physical education by securing 135 marks, he added.
Education commissioner K Sandhya Rani, AU VC G Nageswar Rao, registrar V Uma Maheswar Rao, district education officer Lingeswar Reddy and others have participated in the program.
