The Andhra University and Centre for Economic and Social Studies (CESS) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding. Under the agreement, the Centre for Economic and Social Studies will establish its research centre in Andhra University. The Centre will conduct its research operations for newly formed state of Andhra Pradesh from the Andhra University.
Prof Kandula Niranjan, Registrar, Andhra University and Dr S Galab, Director of the Centre for Economic and Social Studies, have signed the Memorandum of Understanding in the presence of Prof Gollapalli Nageswara Rao, Vice-Chancellor and Prof Rokkam Radhakrishna, former Vice-Chancellor.
‘Andhra Unviersity would encourage research in the contemporary economic and social issues’ said VC Nageswar Rao during signing of MoU at conference hall of AU Executive Council.
AU chief engineer M G Madhava Babu, J Ramu Naidu, Naga Bhushanam, Koti Reddy and others have participated in the program.
Ph D awarded to Chintala Prakash Babu in human rights
The Andhra University has awarded Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) to Chintha Prakash Babu in Human Rights and Duties for his thesis entitled “Human Rights of Vulnerable Groups with Reference to Women and Children”.
Dr Prakash Babu did his research under the guidance of Prof Yalamanchili Satyanarayana of Dr B R Ambedkar College of Law.
In his research Dr Prakash Babu observed that international and national efforts should be initiated to protect the human rights of vulnerable sections like children, women and elderly people.
G Nageswara Rao, Vice-chancellor, presented the Ph.D. proceedings to D .Prakash Babu.
Prof D Surayaprakasa Rao, Principal, and other faculty members congratulated Dr Prakash Babu.
