To ensure that all the government welfare schemes reach the beneficiaries at the grass-root level in the villages, the district administration should embark upon an ambitious programme of ‘Grama darshini’ (village visit) programme designed by Andhra Pradesh chief minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu. As part of the programme, the mandal official team would visit at least a village in each mandal and ensure that all the welfare schemes reach the beneficiaries and also inspect the implementation of various programmes. Besides, the team would also redress the grievances of the village on the spot.
AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu has reviewed with district level officials of both revenue and police through a video conference. Visakhapatnam joint collector G Srijana, JC 2 Dr A Siri, joint commissioner of police of Vizag city commissionerate, DWAMA PD Satya Sai Srinivas and others have participated in the video conference from NIC Room of collector office.
‘Grama Darshini program should focus on the progress in 1,500 days and betrayal of the Centre to the State. Issues with Centre, YCP’s “lobbying politics” and Pawan Kalyan’s “baseless comments” should be explained to people’ said Chandra Babu. Our IT Wing has developed a separate mobile app for reviewing Grama Darshini. Senior officials must tour in villages for 40 days in coming five months. All villagers should take part in the growth of Andhra Pradesh to get 15 % rise in real time governance programs. Students should be provided with sufficient training through skill development centers for getting jobs in upcoming industries in the state. Health, Panchayat Raj and municipal staff members should work with coordination for preventing seasonal diseases in rural areas. ICDS employees should see that every pregnant woman get healthy diet for preventing child and maternal deaths. Vaccination must be done to both mothers and infants for their health, he added.
