Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu has inaugurated the Siemens Centre, Innovation Centre, and laid foundation stones for the New Hostel for Girls, Research and Development Centre, E-Class Rooms and Centre for Excellence. Nimmakayala China Rajappa, deputy chief minister, home Minister and also in charge minister of Visakhapatnam district, Aditya Nath Das, Principal Secretary, Higher Education, Prof Vijaya Raju, chairman, Prof Narasimha Rao and Prof T Koteswara Rao, Vice-Chairman, APSCHE, Muttamshetti Srinivasa Rao, Member of Parliament for Anakapalli constituency, Vice-Chancellors of various universities and others participated in the program along with students from various institutions.
‘Our State will be developed into “Innovation Valley” like Silicon Valley in United States’ said Chandra Babu. While interacting with the students at the “Jnana Bheri” program organized in Andhra University Engineering College Grounds, where thousands of students participated, he said that the students should become smart and think differently and with innovative way to contribute to the national development and progress. An approach with vision and systematic persuasion would help the state to progress in all directions. The digital class rooms would be developed in all colleges and students would be given a new direction to make the state as Knowledge Hub.
Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Minister for HRD, said that the State has excellent human resources and the Government is committed to tap them in right direction.
Prof Gollapalli Nageswara Rao, Vice-Chancellor, Andhra University said that the University would continue its effort to make the student involvement in innovative measures.
