Andhra Pradesh chief minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu has spent his time with tribal people in Vizag Agency Area as part of World Adivasi Day and Grama Darshini program. Paderu MLA Giddi Eswari, Araku MLA Kidari Sarveswar Rao, MLCs Gade Srinivasula Naidu and Pappala Chalapathi Rao, Ministers Ch Ayyanna Patrudu, Nakka Anand Babu and Ganta Srinivas Rao, zilla parishat chairperson Lalam Bhavani took part in making arrangements for the meeting from peoples’ representatives. Tribal welfare department principal secretary Rawat, director G Chandrudu, Visakhapatnam collector Praveen Kumar and others also participated in the meeting.
Chandra Babu has distributed assets worth Rs 60.36 crores to tribal fraternity and 4,470 pattas for 13,186 acres of forest land on the dais. He also laid foundation stone for 17 works worth Rs 259.44 crores and inaugurated several works completed with Rs 5.20 crores in Agency Area.
‘We are ready to organize a separate D S C for tribal teachers and I am ready to develop tribal areas in all fronts and for that 200 networking towers were established in this area’ said Chandra Babu. TDP government is ready to disburse pensions to tribal persons after attaining the age of 50. Cashew produced in this area will be taken to new heights by Girijan Credit Corporatoin as in the case of Araku Coffee. Paderu will be developed as the tourist attractions in the lines of Araku and Borra Caves. So far we have spent Rs 2,564 crores for the welfare of tribes which shows our priority in developing them. We have allocated Rs 1 lakh for primitive tribal groups extra for housing and Rs 75,000 for tribal people in agency area and Rs 50,000 extra in plain areas in addition to normal finance under NTR Housing Scheme. We have great respect for tribal feelings and for that reason only cancelled bauxite mining which was licensed under previous government, he added.
