Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister, home minister and in charge minister for Visakhapatnam district Nimmakayala Chinna Rajappa hoisted national flag at police barracks as part of 72nd Independence Day Celebrations. Collector Praveen Kumar, JC G Srijana, GVMC Commissioner M Hari Narayanan, SP Rahul Deva Sharma, MLC PVN Madhav, MP Dr K Hari Babu, MLAs P Vishnu Kumar Raju, VRK Babu and Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar, zilla parishat chair person Lalam Bhavani and others took part in the ceremonious program.
‘ I am feeling very proud for acting as the in charge minister for Visakhapatnam and we all should work for the development of Visakhapatnam which is emerging as City of Destiny, Smart City and financial capital of Andhra Pradesh’ said Chinna Rajappa. TDP Government is poised to give drinking and industrial water to Vizag by 2019 completing prestigious Polavaram Project. We are giving education to municipal schools on par with corporate schools by providing digital classrooms’, he added.
‘After education our priority is providing health to one and all in both agency areas and plain areas of the district. Separate ambulances attached to a bike are being operational in agency area to take patients to nearest area hospital or to King George Hospital, if needed. Our government is taking care of people from womb to grave by implementing various welfare schemes though out the life of an individual. Chandranna Bheema scheme is a boon to the workers in unorganized sector as 19,90,068 persons were covered under this scheme as they can get compensation in case of accidental deaths by spending very small amounts towards getting insurance policy. Last but not the least our TDP government is providing meals to urban poor in the name of Anna Canteens’ he added further.
All departments have exhibited their services on vans. GVMC vehicle got first prize, DRDA in second and VUDA vehicle got third prize.
