Andhra Pradesh state panchayatraj, rural development and rural water supply principal secretary K S Jawahar Reddy felicitate Visakhapatnam collector Praveen Kumar for getting more number of awards in completing NREGS works in the district. He has reviewed ongoing works at zilla parishat conference hall that were sanctioned under Prime Minister Grameen Sadak Yojana, Andhra Pradesh Disaster Recovery Project (APDRC) and NABARD schemes. Vizag –Rural SP Rahul Dev Sharma, chief conservator of forest Rahul Pande, panchayatraj superintending engineer Venu Gopal, engineer in chief R Venkat Rao, divisional forest officers, executive engineers and assistant engineers have participated in the review program.
‘I have observed great delay in road laying works in Vizag Agencey area’ said Jawahar Reddy. Chief conservator should issued orders for concerned divisional forest officers for issuing forest clearances so that all works will be completed before the end of this fiscal year. Rural SP should provide security to the work force at interior areas. Observers should be appointed on outsourcing basis for third party inspection in tribal areas. The work force must be provided shelters, safe drinking water and toilet facilities including their children, nearer to work spots. Safety equipment such as gloves, jackets and other items also must be arranged to the workers. Sine ages must be erected at the work spot clearly indicating the work place, he added.
I am congratulating the staff members and officers of NREGS department for standing in first place at national lever’ said Praveen Kumar. We have also received second prize for maintaining quality control in PMGSY works and all should work hard to reach first place in next year, he added.
‘We are not receiving permission in Paderu Division from forest department and this is the main reason for the delay in work progress’ said Venkat Rao.
