Andhra Pradesh Government organized a two day technical event in the name of Politech Fest 2018 at Andhra University Convention Center, Beach Road. On the valedictory day prizes were distributed for the best project works submitted by polytechnic students across the state. HRD Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao has inaugurated the program in the presence of august guests on Sunday as prizes were given on Monday. Technical education commissioner of Andhra Pradesh state GS Panda Das has supervised the program. As many as 2770 projects were submitted to the authorities and out of them 309 projects were approved for exhibition at the venue. First prize bagged by Nellore Government Polytechnic, Ongole’s Page Institute of Science and Technology stood in second place, Sanketaka polytechnic college bagged third position and other four colleges were given consolation prizes for their projects.
‘Organizing this type of program to take out hidden talents among the students is a good sign’ said Srinivas Rao. I feel that every student who is sitting here has some special talent and it will come out at any other day. Students should work towards inventing new items for the welfare of public with their intelligence while using their knowledge. I specially congratulate the commissioner and his team for making this program as great success, he added.
‘I am very glad about the success of this event as 6,500 students across the state have visited the venue’ said Panda Das. I hope that all the exhibited projects can be used for the society, he added.
