Visakhapatnam collector Praveen Kumar has inaugurated the houses which were allocated after Hudhud cyclone at Talarivani Palema, 57th ward of GVMC and Gajuwaka Assembly segment. He was accompanied by MLA Palla Srinivas, GVMC zonal commissioner Chakradhar Rao, Tahashildars and housing board officials.
‘I request all the beneficiaries of the scheme to enter the houses immediately wit in ten days or else I may have to cancel their allocation’ said Praveen Kumar. Our officials have worked with machine pace and succeeded in completing the houses at given time. District administration will provide approach road, drinking water and city bus facilities to this area at soon. We have identified 800 acres at TRY Junction from Sabbavaram, Paravada and Gajuwaka mandals and will acquire them in conformance with land pooling systems like state government has done in capital Amravati. We will also make this area as a part of model Satellite Township. People should form association and work to get the best of sanitation, water supply and electricity supply and cooperate with the department staff, he added.
‘I am very happy that Collector himself came here to inaugurate the houses’ said Palla Srinivas while speaking on the occasion. Like this Gajuwaka Land issue also should be resolved by the collector. BHEL (BHPV) has given Rs 4.8 crores for 96 houses in this scheme. Andhra Pradesh government has spent Rs 2.7 crores for providing basic infrastructure here to construct 512 houses under G plus 3 systems, for Hudhud victims he added.
