Visakhapatnam district collector Praveen Kumar, zilla parishat chair person Lalam Bhavani, district revenue officer Chandra Sekhar Reddy, backward classes welfare department deputy director Nageswar Rao, executive director of BC Corporation Geetha Devi, ZP Chief Executive Officer Ramana Murthy, Washer Men Association president Narayana, BC Federation Chairman Rama Rao, Nayee Brahmin Welfare Corporation director Ramana, Koya Valmeeki  North Andhra Association leader Adi Narayana, representatives from other BC Associations and students from BC welfare school have participated in the anniversary celebrations of Valmiki who wrote great epic Ramayan at ZP Conference hall, organized by Visakhapatnam BC Welfare Department.

‘Students should take the life history of Valmiki as their role model’ said Praveen Kumar. Being an ordinary hunter, Valmiki had transformed as a great sage and he handed over the first Sanskrit book Ramayan to our mankind. I congratulate every BC Student here for participating in this program, he added.

‘TDP Government is offering number of schemes for the welfare of BCs in Andhra Pradesh’ said Lalam Bhavani. Students should read Ramayan to know the value of a family and bonding between family members. Valmiki, through Sri Rama had shown the path to mankind how live with values till the end of one’s life, she added.

Students from BC Welfare Schools have performed folk dances on the dais and entertained the audience.
