Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) organized Gandhi Jayanti at its Administrative Office on Tuesday to mark the 150th birth day of Mahatma Gandhi. On this occasion Sri Rajesh Tripathi, IRSE, CMD and M S Rao, Director (Operations & Technical), Chief Guest Prof S MIqbal, Former HOD, Department of Hindi, Andhra University and other top officials and all employees paid rich floral tributes to the Father of the Nation. CMD DCIL appealed to all the employees to imbibe the principles of non-violence and selfless service that personified Bapuji. Further, Tripathi highlighted how Babpuji extensively used Swatcchta and Hindi as effective tools to promote cleanliness and unity in the country.
Incidentally, the valedictory functions of the Swacchata Hi Seva and Hindi week were also organized along with the Gandhi Jayanthi celebrations. He expressed satisfactions at the various initiatives taken by the employees during Swachhta Hi Seva and Hindi Week celebrations. Prof S M Iqbal, Former HOD, Department of Hindi spoke on the occasion emphasizing on the Role of Hindi as a link language for uniting the nation.
Prime Minister’s advice implemented at Central Taxes department
“Swachhta Hi Seva” movement launched by Prime Minster Narendra Modi, which aims at generating greater public participation towards cleanliness which is being observed Nationwide from 15.09.2018 to 02.10.2018. As part of this B Hareram, (IRS), Principal Commissioner Central Tax Officers of Visakhapatnam CGST Commissionerate and D V Reddy, (IRS), Commissioner (Audit) actively participated in the Swachhta Hi Seva activity at Vegetable Market formally known as Belt Bazar, Visakhapatnam as a part of “SHRAMDAAN”. Further, Hareram addressed the media and expressed the importance of Swachhta Hi Seva.
