The Vizag Junior Literary Fest

The Vizag Junior Literary Fest, which was flocked by a number of happy students, writers and enthusiasts, ended on a high note on Sunday, 18th November. A Book Fair with a collection of over thousand books was a part of the Fest, with the organizers laying stress on Indian-based books and publishers in its Fair to encourage the authors.
The Fest, which comprised of over 50 sessions from 16 writers over the course of two days, had writing workshops, creative storytelling sessions from well-known names like Roopa Pai, Reshma Krishnan, Soumya Rajendran Richa Jha, Priya Kuriyan, Daya, Sushree Mishra, Janaki Sabesh, Deepa Kiran, Bongiswa Kotta Ramushwana. Apart from that, the book “The Hidden Children” by Reshma Krishnan was launched at the event, and the children’s favourite ‘The Wizard of Oz’ play was also conducted by the Helen O Grady theatre group.
While inaugurating the Fest on Saturday, HRD Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao requested the organizers of the Fest to make it an annual event and assuring them of government sponsorship.
