Just 4 days to go before we say goodbye to the roller coaster ride of 2018 and say hello to 2019.
The New Year is around the corner, and as usual, what is on the minds of most of us, apart from what to do on New Year’s eve to start the new year with a bang, is what New Year resolutions to take up in 2019 to shake up our routine. As a new year brings with it a chance to wipe out our past mistakes, let bygones be bygones, and start our life with a clean slate, making resolutions like joining a dance class, saying no to sweets, not stalking your ex on Facebook etcetera etcetera just let us experience new things and make us look at life in a new way! But it is also a given that most of us are going to break these resolutions in the first few weeks itself! As in our hurry to achieve everything we wanted to all at once, we make impossible targets that just add to our stress and slowly fizzle out the high of the new year and get us back to our routine. Chill, just the yearly ritual of making resolutions and breaking them is so much fun that we can’t help but indulge in it! But if you do really want to make a lasting change, don’t let a broken resolution bring your spirits down. The key is in taking baby steps; just setting small goals that give us a quota of happiness each day we achieve them, adds a kick to our life. So remember that years come and go, but nothing gives you the feeling of New Year like making dozens of resolutions and failing at them! 😉
